Our lab has been working in East Africa for over a decade using state-of-the-art technology and local know-how to document baseline distributions of marine mammls, focusing on northern coastlines and near-shore waters. Everything involves collaboration with local scientists and research institutions to build local capacity and knowledge, useful for management and conservation.
